ALL GIRLY. LOTS OF FLORAL. LOTS OF AMAZON PRIME.
ALL REASONABLY PRICED. ALL NECESSITIES.
If you guys haven’t figured it out already from my Marshalls obsession… I’m a bargain hunter. This mostly applies to myself… I’m not sure why that is but I’m definitely less likely to spend money on myself than I am on hubs or the kids. BUT… especially with baby stuff… they grow out of it so fast that unless it is something special that will be passed down, I can’t see spending a ton. SO… heres the top 10 items list!
- THE NAVY KNOT MINKY BLANKET – This is possibly the most expensive item on the list and it’s still only about $45 with personalization and shipping. We have easily washed it 100 times and it is still just as pretty and soft as when we got it. I did buy it off Amazon but it’s by The Navy Knot and they have their own online shop as well! I recently bought it in 2 different prints for 2 mamas-to-be in my life and they are equally as pretty as Tay’s! This is one they will easily use for a few years, it ships quickly in terms of a personalized item, and is also cheaper than most personalized gifts…. And I’m a sucker for giving personalized gifts lol 😉
2. <—-NEWBORN SWADDLE SETS – There are so many options for these on Amazon. BUT, I have bought 3 of them (one for Tay and two for friends) and they make for the BEST newborn pics! Bonus if you match it to whatever robe you plan on wearing in the hospital!
3. MUSLIN SWADDLES. There are MANY different brands of these and IMO, the bigger the better. I got this cute set —-> on amazon, but also have quite a few of the Aden and Anais ones, which are a little more expensive but excellent quality! I LOVED these with both kids, the muslin is soft but not too stretchy and holds a strong swaddle so their baby rolls are nice and cozy.
4. Copper Pearl EVERYTHING. Taylor’s print, and my favorite, is the “Grace”. We have the fitted sheets and also had a few of the baby items such as the Grace hooded towel (which is a larger size), and the bandana bibs. Great company, great products!
5. HEADBANDS & BOWS – Again… SO many options out there. I found that shopping for them on Amazon allowed me to get many more per pack for a much cheaper price. When Tay was a newborn I loved the thick cotton headbands because they didn’t dig into her little head… and as a toddler I but 90% of her clip-in bows in variety packs on amazon. Her are a few of my fav packs:
6. Bathing suits – Living in the Northeast we don’t get a chance to wear bathing suits that often, so especialy as babies, they usualy only get one season and maybe 10 wears out of them.. so the cheaper options make sens efor us. If you live in the south,or have a luxurious indoor pool at your disposal, I could see wanting to spend a little more money for better quality. This little number pictured below comes in pink/white strips also, and I already ordered her that one for this year 😉
7. Sho Cute carseat cover. Striaght out of China via Amazon and it really is “SHO” cute! (HAHA) But really, Taylor was born 3 days before Mason started preschool and I wanted mostly to keep her away from the germs… (We also live in the Northeast, so rain and cold winters, as well). I love that it has a little peekaboo flap so you can leave it open and see what they are doing. Mason and his classmates loved peaking in at her, and I loved that they weren’t reaching in at her lol. It also cinches with an elastic drawstring at the bottom for a snug fit and was easy to take on and off (and I have no idea what the washing instructions are but it survived my machine).
8. Mosquito net – I just LOVE this look in any little girls room. It brings a certain whimsical feel and it was only $13.
9. BABY SHOES! Be careful with this one… once they started standing and walking I spent a little more money and paid much more attention to what I awas putting on their feet. BUT, for that newborn photo op?? AMAZON/CHINA.
10. DIY! Michael’s Craft Stores sell square sheets of flowers, which I have used in a few places in Taylor’s nursery. This letter “T”, which I’ve seen similar for upwards of $75 on Etsy… was super easy to make and the supplies costless than $20! I also had enough flowers left to fill a couple small galvanized metal pails I had leftover from our wedding reception… they make an adorable accent on the shelves in her room!
Last but not least… once they start to grow out of all this cute BABY stuff… check out Amazon’s kids clothing brand Spotted Zebra for cute packs of t-shirts… like 4 for $20 and they’re actually on trend! ((usually two mostly solid or raglan tees and 2 with some sort of graphic)) This one goes for both BOY and GIRLS, and starts at TODDLER sizes!
