For the Party Planner: Create the Perfect Save the Dates!

As always, the opinions are mine, and I only share things I think you will love, too!

If you’ve been clicking around my page at all… you know your girl loves to plan a good party! I also send out cards for EVERYTHING…. birthday invitations, thank you cards, birth announcements, holiday cards, events… you name it, I send it. So when BasicInvite.com approached me about their Wedding Save the Dates, I was already in. But… you ask, “you’re not getting married… what are you saving the date for??” WELL for one… I’m expecting an invitation to be a Matron of Honor quite soon (cough COUGH… little sister 😉 ) BUT I also had another grand master plan pop into my head….

SUMMER BIRTHDAY MAMAS LISTEN UP – what if I sent a Save the Date for Mason’s summer birthday party home with all the kids before they get out of school?! I know that sounds extra, and financially let’s be honest… the Save the Date would essentially take the place of the invitation. But – I always find it hard to track down his classmates and plan something once everyone has gone on their way for summer vacation. AND, a couple times I have planned it all out only to receive another invite for the same day! So – it may be a little extra, but I’m thinking of “claiming” the day early with Save the Dates and following up with an email invite closer to the event with all the details!

With that idea, I hopped on to BasicInvite.com to see what they had to offer, and was really impressed with all of the options! Plus, if you are anything like me, my phone is much nicer than my computer.. and I was able to design everything on their mobile site using pictures straight from my phone, saved them to my account, and then hopped on my computer to confirm! It was so easy! And for all the other font freaks out there, there are SO MANY to choose from! Everything is fully customizable. I haven’t ordered our cards yet (because its February lol) BUT I DID order a free sample and it came out great! I was debating between the traditional cardstock or the save the date postcards, but I ended up going with the cardstock!

Now… obviously… most of their Save the Dates are geared towards weddings, BUT they are also completely customizable and have so many options! I ordered a sample and got this adorable kit explaining everything they have to offer… including options for wedding websites, SO many color choices, address book, and address collection services! The sample is great quality, thick card stock, and I received it in about 5 days! I already suggested to my sister that when she orders her wedding save the dates, she should get the magnet ones!! We got magnet save the dates for our wedding five years ago and STILL have one on our fridge, as well as many of my friends’ which makes for great, long lasting memories!

If you’re not getting married and you’re not as extra about birthday parties as me…. don’t worry…. they have ALL types of templates – kids birthday party invitations, birth announcements, thank you cards, graduation announcements, moving / new address, business cards…. go take a look!!
