Kid Craft: Handprint Turkey Garland

I love making our crafts into keepsakes, and mixing craft time with DIY home décor allows me to both display and switch out their creations throughout the year!

I also love handprint and footprint art for toddlers because it is easy and fun, exposes them to different textures, and we can keep the craft quick, clean up, and then turn it into whatever we want!

Mason and I made this Handprint Turkey Garland two years ago, and it has been a staple in my fall décor ever since!

Usually when we do hand or footprint painting, I squirt the paint onto a paper plate and let them squish right into it. But for these, since I used multiple colors, I painted on each of his fingers and then he made his handprints! Once they dried, he helped me cut them all out and glue on the eyes, and then I added a few details and strung them on some twine!

We usually hang it on the mantle, or around some of our other fall décor!

So cute! And handprints are so wonderful to look at when they are older. Remembering how their little hands fit entirely in yours brings back aso many beautiful memories ❤️
