I thought I was soooooo cute with this First Day of School gift we put together for Mason’s teacher… inspired by Amy from @theeverco (as usual lol, love here page!!)
…. Til I told my friends and they were like “STOPPPPP, YOU’RE SO EXTRRRAAAA” (re: Cat&Nat lol)
Whatevs, I’m vying for a room mom bid and this buys me at least a few points with Mizz B. 😉 hahahajkjk but really… We’re handing our kid over to her for 7 hours a day for the next like 9 months… the least we can do is buy her a few coffees and a fresh pack of expo markers! 😉 <3
BUT REALLY – this came out really cute, most of it was from the dollar section at Target, or Amazon prime, and many of the supplies I already had from other projects (like the keychains!). It is a small way to show our appreciation, and I like getting Mason involved, in this case by having him find the right letters and string the beads on the keychain, and paint the letter “B” for Mizz B! I think involving him shows him that it is nice to do nice things for other people, and he appreciates that even at a young age, which makes me one proud mama!
Our gift included: Happy face binder clips (Target), White board label signs (Target dollar spot), Apple Wand (Target dollar spot), Permanent Markers (Target), and Expo Markers (Amazon). The letter B that we painted was from the dollar store, and the details for the keychain can be found here, but I also found some rainbow colored beads at Target to add around the letters! And of course… a Starbucks gift card because I need coffee to keep up with my kid so I’m sure she does, too. 😉
This could be adapted for any occasion… Teacher Appreciation Week, Holidays, End of School… or just because!
